MOPD Policies

The Missouri Professional Development (MOPD) System has policies in place to meet the needs of the early care and education workforce. The policies adhere to national standards for registry systems and are congruent with state child care regulations and federal directives.

Data Privacy and User Responsibilities in the MOPD System

The MOPD System is committed to maintaining the privacy and security of your information. To set up an account with the MOPD System, we require that you provide your name, birth date, and the last five digits of your Social Security Number to ensure a unique login. The profile you create on the MOPD System will maintain the information you choose to share about your education and employment history (including any licenses, credentials, and certifications you hold), your professional memberships and contributions, and your professional development activities (training/clock hours).

All information provided on the MOPD System that can be connected to you personally (Personally Identifiable Information) will only be used to maintain your account (including verification of educational and employment history) and to comply with federal and state agencies as required. The MOPD System may disclose personal information if required by law or in good faith belief that it is necessary to do so as required by or permitted by law, to protect the rights or property of DESE or the MOPD System or the safety of the MOPD System users or the public. (For example, the MOPD System may share personal information to protect against fraud or to service your account.)
