Parent Advisory Council

 

 

The Missouri Parent Advisory Council (PAC) is a group of family leaders, located around the state, who bring issues facing families to a higher level with the goal of improving access to programs for young children and families. The statewide Parent Advisory Council will meet in the Fall of 2023.

Members of PAC are family leaders who have experience working with state and local agencies who provide services to Missouri families with young children.

2023 Parent Leadership Report

In 2023, the Office of Childhood partnered with the University of Missouri-Columbia, Center for Childhood Excellence in Well-Being to facilitate parent leadership activities including regional parent advisory councils, a statewide parent advisory council, and parent café trainings. The 2023 Parent Leadership Report summarizes the activities and feedback received from parents during the parent advisory council meetings.

Through a partnership with Department of Social Services, the Missouri Head Start State Collaboration Office, Center For Family Policy & Research, Department of Human Development and Family Science, Missouri worked with the University of Missouri Extension Communications and Marketing to establish the Missouri Parent Advisory Council (PAC) video.
